High-Performance Kevlar & Aramid Fabrics for Composites
Our selection of Kevlar and Aramid fabrics is engineered for high-end industrial applications. We offer a versatile range of Plain and Twill weaves, specialized Aluminized Kevlar fabrics for thermal protection, and Carbon-Kevlar hybrids for balanced stiffness and toughness.
Specifically designed for composite reinforcement, these fabrics can be used as a superior alternative to or in combination with carbon fiber and fiberglass. They are fully compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resins, enabling the creation of exceptionally rigid and impact-resistant laminates.
Performance & Key Characteristics:
- Unmatched Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Aramid fiber is 5-6 times stronger than steel wire of the same weight, with double the toughness.
- Ultra-Lightweight: At only 1/5th the weight of steel, it significantly reduces the overall mass of the final structure.
- High Elastic Modulus: 2 to 3 times higher than that of steel or fiberglass.
- Extreme Thermal Stability: Does not melt or decompose at temperatures up to 560°C.
- Chemical & Durability: Highly resistant to acids, alkalis, fuels, and aging, ensuring a long lifecycle.
- Superior Insulation: Provides excellent electrical insulation and vibration damping properties.
Applications: Kevlar composites are the ultimate choice for demanding environments requiring impact resistance, abrasion protection, and thermal stability—ranging from aerospace and automotive components to high-performance protective gear.
